Great Grandma and Grandpa

We just spent a week with the great Grandparents, that was great seeing them again and hanging out, Kate of course getting herself in trouble - so much to see and touch... but hey it was great!



We also got to go for a tour of the lights - very cool and Kate loved it too, never mind while driving slow being aloud to stand in the car seat!

June

June also came and stayed for a few days - Kate and her get along really well and Kate is starting to reach an age where she can really 'play' So they had fun togeather.

Thanksgiving

We went and spent a week with the family in NY for Thanksgiving, It was a lot of fun, and always a great experience for a non American to join in, it is a truly great holiday and one that I intend to enjoy in the future. I am afraid I did not get many photos but here is a few when we went for a walk with Grandma and Grandpa - it was cold to say the least but good to get out of the house.





On the walk we also ran into Santa - she did not mind Santa too much - until he opened his mouth and spoke and then it got a bit scary

And a big thank you everyone that brought/sent gifts they were all great and even though you did not have to give something it was very much appreciated! so thank you!

We had 'Gourmette' for her b'day dinner, a lot of fun and very yummy!




So as you can tell we had a lot of fun, And it was awesome that both sets of grandparents could be there to see there grand daughter turn 1.
Hopefully more photos and videos will come soon as I did not get many but as you can tell it was great anyway.

The Great Pumpkin Party.

At church we had a great pumpkin party last night for the kids. It was very cute to see all the costumes and kids playing, Kate had no idea what was going on though did 'play' a few games, she might have had more fun getting at the candy I think. She was a plum... That is all that I could come up with last minute.

Day to Day

We go for walks every day and this is just over the street at the pier, there is one bit that is nice and sheltered from too much wind, also see the chair itself she actually climes it up when she only has socks on to fit in the gaps - very cute/very scary for me... But all in good fun.



Kate is just starting to try and use the fork herself - with mama's discretion - she loves it!

Doctors visit

Kate went to the doctor today for a check up.
Kate now weighs 9.1 kilo / 20.1 pounds
Her length is 75 cm / 29.5 inches

They are both really good measurements, at first it did not seem like much growth but when I updated her growth chart that I had since she was born it is a really good weight and length to be. She is slowly catching up to what she should be so I am really happy.

Also everything else was really good too in terms of her development and health. So that was good that we could go.



Kate has also taken her first steps, she walked between Caleb and myself, that was last Thursday and since then she will take a tentative step or 2 so I don't think it will be long before she is full on walking. She also has 5 teeth and the 6th is very close to breaking out.
So as you can tell it is all good with Kate.

With Caleb and myself things are going well too, the usual and taking each day as it comes. It may not be easy with the economy the way that it is but it is in God that we put our trust and so it will turn out just fine.



We also had a new well dug, as you can tell it was very interesting to watch.

washing day

Kate loves to 'help' with the washing, its so funny, she is fascinated by socks, she will carry them around with her everywhere - or she has something else small in her hand, even when she is crawling.





Kate loves to play with her play sit thing... it is very interesting and a lot of different things to play with...

up and about

Kate is starting to stand by herself, so it will not be long before she walks. Just don't watch this too many times or you will start to cringe!


Kate loves to just sit there and open and close the door - very cute.



Kate is also fascinated by the TV and could just sit there and watch it, and sometimes as you can see on the video takes a bit to distract her from it. - well as long as it is a kids music program, she loves music so I have it on all the time as it is anyway.
It is also very serious business says 'miss frown a lot'

Fun!

June came to stay for nearly 2 weeks, and that was a lot of fun. They both had a lot of fun together and Kate kept looking around for her when she went back home.


Nothing like having rides on swings, merry go rounds and people!






Life is no fun without food involved... Where there is food people will always be happy! - you can tell that they are cousins!




And after that is all said and done, cleaning those smelly dipers!

Grandma was also there for half the week so that was great that we could spend the time together.





They also have some half wild kittens outside, this one - Ash got used to Kate and they had fun chatting at the window.

Great Grandparents (GG & Grandpops)

We spent the week with Kate's Great Grandparents and it was a lot of fun, we went on pick nicks and Kate's first ride on a merry go round. They also had a lot of fun and enjoyed the times getting to know their great grand daughter.
