Baby Shower

The ladies at church organized a baby shower for me, it was great and a lot of fun. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!



We played some pretty neat games including guess what the baby will look like with playdoe, and guess what is in the bag by touch - its weird I thought I would be much better at that considering how young Kate is... I had some good guesses though...



During the whole shower we were not aloud to say the words baby or girl, if you did you could take that persons necklace(s) as you can tell it was a big deal when you got to take someone else's necklaces. it was pretty funny, and by the end I had won a fair few - just not enough to win the prize.



Another game was guess the chocolate in the diaper - nearly got the better of me...



And of course a bit part of it is unwrapping the gifts, we got some really cool stuff and I have to say a big thank you for making it such a great day and for all the great gifts that you all gave.

New York

We spent the weekend in NY with the family, it was great to catch up with them and spending more then the quick weekend with them. Also it felt like a mini holiday for me - though next time it would be great if Papa was there too as we did miss him a lot.



Kate really took to uncle Severin, but Remmy did not like that one bit - he got very jealous of his attention and had to be locked outside on numerous occasions.

Maryland Weather

Just an idea what the Maryland weather can be like - well where we are anyway, just a month ago - so March this was the Monday before Guillaume and Michelle got here we had snow!


You might remember where she picked up the eating snow from...


This was 3 days later on Thursday - outside in short sleeves (around the corner there was still a pile of snow)




As you can tell the weather can be extreme, not always easy to plan the day but you take it literally one day at a time.
We are now ready for the spring, things are starting to grow - the daffodils are out, and as you can see Kate is ready too... well by the way things are warming up I hope the snow is also done for now.

When Guillaume and Michelle came they brought with them 'Drop' which is Dutch Lickerish, very different then English, we thought we would see how Kate likes it - she just gave it to her Friend...
