Check up

Today Kate had her 18 month check up and also her last shot for now.
She did really well, her weight is now 28 pounds/12.5 kilo. and is 32 inches/81 cm.
So she is growing very nicely. And I am very proud of her she did not cry at all when she got her shot - which was a nice surprise.

And really who needs a pool when you can play with a bucket!


You can imagine she was not as dry by the end of 15 min ;)

We are slowly mastering the fork and spoon...

and we keep growing....

We just keep on growing here, Kate as you can see loves to eat - and most of the time she eats all we give her. Teething is the only issue with her at the moment - so I hope that is over by the time the baby arrives.
And I am also growing with only 3 weeks left. and to be honest I would rather have this baby sooner rather then later - but hey there is not that much to be said on that score. But all is going well with the pregnancy, I have had it rather easy I think... so I will not complain...

A Beautiful day.

we spent a good portion of the day outside yesterday, the weather was just right, not too hot with a nice breeze, hope to have more of the same.

Kate's comfy postions

Kate has certain places where she hangs and is comfy,
in the towel after getting out of the bath is one...


The Chair - either her own lazy boy or any others will do...





The flat footed squat - that papa can do just... Though I have to say I think it is really cool that my Opa can do this at 88 for hours while tending the garden.

Baby Shower

The ladies at church organized a baby shower for me, it was great and a lot of fun. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!



We played some pretty neat games including guess what the baby will look like with playdoe, and guess what is in the bag by touch - its weird I thought I would be much better at that considering how young Kate is... I had some good guesses though...



During the whole shower we were not aloud to say the words baby or girl, if you did you could take that persons necklace(s) as you can tell it was a big deal when you got to take someone else's necklaces. it was pretty funny, and by the end I had won a fair few - just not enough to win the prize.



Another game was guess the chocolate in the diaper - nearly got the better of me...



And of course a bit part of it is unwrapping the gifts, we got some really cool stuff and I have to say a big thank you for making it such a great day and for all the great gifts that you all gave.

New York

We spent the weekend in NY with the family, it was great to catch up with them and spending more then the quick weekend with them. Also it felt like a mini holiday for me - though next time it would be great if Papa was there too as we did miss him a lot.



Kate really took to uncle Severin, but Remmy did not like that one bit - he got very jealous of his attention and had to be locked outside on numerous occasions.
