Hey guys, just a small update. It was great to spend time with everyone in NY, it was a lot of fun and it was great to catch up with everyone.

The trip was a bit of a nightmare itself, Kate did not have the best trip so it meant that I got no sleep at all, but what can you do about it. Though once we got here we had a long nap and then she pretty much sleept though the night straight away, she does not seem to have much trouble with jet lag at all.

So we are back on a normal schedual and we are enjoying the time with Oma and Opa and great opa... so we plan on enjoying our time here.

Sorry for the lack of photos as yet, but I am having a bit of trouble with getting my photos on the computer so hopefully that will not take too long

Eating

Kate has really gotten the hang on eating, she really enjoys it and nearly always wants more.
she started with baby cereal and then worked her way to banana,

And then moved onto Squash(pompoen voor de Nederlanders)


Which has finally resulted in solids!

This was her first for the rest of her life her whole world has changed, we are so proud of her ;) (tear) sorry for those with a weak stomach but I could not resist putting that one on there :)

Babysitting

Last week we babysat 2 kids from church, they were very cute with Kate. I only got a photo with Niyla though, sorry Emerson

This is their dog Roxy... It is great to know that Kate as yet is not scared of animals, and Roxy took a liking to Kate so that turned into a licking...

Kate knows how to drink from a bottle, I am afraid though that nothing will come out of this one with the lid still on...

bath time

Kate loves bath time, it is a lot of fun to see her kick around and play.

B'day & Mothers day

we went out for my birthday and for mothers day, it was a lot of fun, as you can see Kate had her party hat on, well more like Dad's

then on daddy's lap, she likes to hang her head sideways, its really cute!

It was a great birthday, and I hope all the mums reading this had a great mothers day too!

House, view and area

We live basically on the water which is awesome, a great house that is nice and open with great big sliding doors - which will be replaced and functional this Tuesday!

The view from our front porch, if you see there is a road to a public pier, so we get to go down to the water front really close to home.

about a 10 min walk away there is a marina, that is what you can see below on the video. We walk to here most days and around about the neighborhood.

Look here is the proof that she can sleep in her own bed - and this is after turning around too, now the trick is to get her to sleep in her own bed everyday. (She sleeps by herself the whole night every night just in case anyone was worried ;)

Kate has had her first few meals, she really enjoys eating, and after watching us eat she has been wanting this for some time now.

A few days later and she is really getting the hang of it, does not mean she is a tidy eater though - make that a messy eater.
